DVDFab (UI/General) Add ISO default for Target

Add output to ISO as a default option for DVD Copy and Blu-ray Copy. Currently whenever I start the UI, I need to click on the icon to set output to ISO.

    Thanks.

Good suggestion. I hope it will be put in the next UI rework.

This has been asked for in the following thread and previous non-related ones. I hope you are right this time signals and it makes it through...

I had forgotten about that thread, I'm glad you linked it here to add to the weight of both. Full reworks of the UI only happen maybe once a year, so it may ne a while before we see this feature.

Sorry to hear a full ui rework is necessary, without knowing any details about dvdfab specific code, it seems it wouldn't be too difficult to have target default to last used type.

I only do iso targets so I can store my disks and play the movies from a hard drive, so I too welcome any change that would limit the number of clicks to burn a new disk.

          Keep up the Great work!

The problem would be the setting of the ISO filename, which can be overcome but would require some new popup boxes and other changes.

An alternate take on this that would save me pulling my hair out...

Occaisionally when I want to create an ISO I forget to do the little dance to set the output to an ISO file, and start the conversion with it still pointing at the disc burner. When it finally gets to the point of being able to "burn" it then asks me to put some writeable media in the drive, my only choices being to actually put some media in the drive, or cancel (then slap myself on the forehead, point the target to an ISO file and start the whole conversion again).

It would really save my sanity if DVDFab could either, at the point it asks for media give me the option to choose an ISO target instead OR, possibly simpler, check for media in the target drive before it starts the conversion, so I don't waste time extracting from the disc if I hadn't intended to actually write it to the disc burner.
