BD Ripper (3D Plus) Spanish dialects differentiation

    Hello,

I had some issue trying to differentiate spanish tracks when a BD comes with Latin Spanish (Latin America) and Castilian Spanish (Spain). Normally BD differentiate it in the cover, as "Latin Spanish" and "Castilian Spanish".

But the BD Ripper only shows "Spanish" for all of them so I have to preview video with each audio to get what is the one I want to rip with.

I suppose those audio tracks will have a different internal language code. Could be a way to identify both dialects as different spanish dialects?

    Thanks!

Does is show as "Latin Spanish" and "Castilian Spanish" when playing on the hardware player or PowerDVD?

When I play this BD on a player, the first screen I see is the language selection, and it says "CASTELLANO" or "ESPAÑOL" to choose. Depending on my selection, the movie is played with the related audio track.

In the Top Menu, audio configuration, also differentiates between castilian and latin.

But if I use audio button on my player (or from the menus on PowerDVD) it shows "Spanish" for both or "Spanish (traditional sort) 1", "Spanish (traditional sort) 2"

It's easy to select the correct audio and subtitle if adding the function in DVDFab.
But I don't know that does it have the identification in the source.

The authoring for discs sold in North America often does not have the additional streams for Castillian Spanish or Quebec vs. Euro-French, especially regarding audio. Euro discs are more likely to have it, and BDs more likely than DVDs. I think the OP may be saying that DVDFab does not display the secondary language characteristics of the streams (possibly because there is not room in the GUI).
