DVDFab (UI/General) The Check for DMA Setting?

For a few versions now the option, "Check for DMA Automatically" and "Reset DMA" have been greyed out and not accessible. This setting should either be fixed or gotten rid of entirely instead of leaving it there greyed out.

DMA may not be applicable on your system.

All my drives are on IDE (and always have been) so I would assume it is applicable. I made no changes and it was functional once but since a few versions is not now. There have been other threads about this so I'm not the only one.

So are you saying it still is functional on some systems?

Mike, I have no idea, I don't have an IDE controller on any PC anymore to test with. I will try to find out when the office opens.

I have an older machine with IDE controllers. I manually changed the DVD writer channel to PIO mode to see if the program has just gotten smarter, but no, still greyed out. Reset DMA mode no longer functions.
