I sure didn't know there was such a thing as an Intel Z68 chip set that didn't support Quick Sync? If the mobo manufacturer said it doesn't support it then don't waste your time. I'm just saying that if my monitor is plugged into my Radon graphics card then Quick Sync will not work at all.

Good plan! But you have a better board than I do, I just have an H61 and it does Quick Sync just fine.

I think I could really be wrong about this! I'll get back with you when I find out! Have to run me through the Bios thing and switching it!

You can check something pretty quickly to know if Intel graphics is even loaded on your system. Go into device manager and click on display adapters. If Intel graphics isn't showing up Quick Sync isn't going to work!

Depending on your mobo you may have an option to 'always enable Intel graphics', this should be on. If it's not the Intel graphics will disable once you plug in an external graphics card. As 90312 said, you can check this in device manager, you should have the Intel graphics card and your external one listed.

90312; You must live close to me, Inglewood maybe? I'm in the valley, 91607.

I was an engineer before I retired and that's what the company reduced me to there, a number.

                            90312,

No its not showing up at all! Guess i do need another M/B, but shouldn't this M/B have its own grahfics on board?

I would think so. Do you have two DVI sockets on the back of the computer? One on the graphics card and one on the MB?

BTW mine didn't show up either until I changed the BIOS and switched the monitor cable. Do not despair!

No there isn't a DVI input on the M/B!
