CD and DVD copying to be made legal from June 1st in the UK

As the title says it will become legal for consumers to be able to make a backup of their cd, dvd and blurays for personnel use from the 1st June in the UK.

You can even complain if the copy protection is too strong!!!

How about the USA?

I'm happy that UK allowed these procedures. I was wondering if USA will allow it soon, because I purchased a lifetime of DVDfab programs but now I cannot use it here in the States.
Any suggestions?
