    Product description

    Hello Forum.

I am a current user of the free HD Decrypter. It seems to meet all of my needs. What I am failing to see, is the incentive to purchase DVD Copy. The description of each product seems almost identical, with HD Decryptor receiving updates less frequently. I do believe in purchasing quality software, so I am curious to know what I am missing by not owning a copy of DVD Copy and simply using HD Decryptor. What differences make the product worth the asking price? Thanks.

The free version will not compress
It will not burn to a disk.
I will only rip Full disk or Movie only to a hard drive.
It is not kept up to date in regards to the new protection.
    It will not merge movies.
    It will not split movies.
You can not use customize with your movies.

Other than that you are not missing much.
If you are able to do any of the above it means you are using the 30 trial version which will revert to the free version when it expires.

      Thanks Grunon,

The lack of compression is a feature worth mentioning. I am mainly just ripping ISO's as a backup for my kids movie collection. Discs break and scratch so easily. Keeping the files under 5gb as to recreate a scratched disc is a feature worth paying for. Thanks.

Some of the copy modes that are available on the registered version can also save disc space and reduce the amount of compression necessary. Customize will allow you to eliminate audio and subtitles that you don't need, and allow you to choose which if any special features you want to keep on the backup.
