    Playback on a Mac?

If I copy my DVD to my PC harddrive (or external harddrive) using the standard default settings, what is the file format of the movie? And, will I be able to playback the movie on a Mac? I guess that is the same as asking if the resulting file format is Quicktime compatible?
    Thanks.

If you use DVD Copy, the format will be MPEG-2, just like the original DVD, in a VIDEO_TS folder with IFO, BUP and VOB files. If the Mac will play DVDs, it should play them. To make a smaller individual file, you would use DVD Ripper (or Blu-ray Ripper), which have profiles that make MP4/M4V and similar files which I think QuickTime can handle.
