I'm trying to do the Green Hornet movie with dvdfab 8.0.5.0. and the open source scan will not load the movie. is there anything i can do about this?

First thing to do is update to V8085 or V8089.
Then clean the disc no matter how clean you think it is.

I am ripping Green Hornet with V8085 as we speak and is seconds away from being finished.

I did what you told me to do and now i get a rread/write error. does this mean something is wrong with the disc?

Could be a defective disc.
Down load nero cd dvd speed from this link and run an error scan on it.
Start the move playing then stop it and run the scan.

I tried that and didn't really understand the software you asked me to download. I also upgraded to dvd fab 8.0.8.5. and also got another disc of the movie. It did the same thing with 2 different movies. what do i do now?

DVDFab v8.0.8.9 works with the version of the DVD that comes with 3 discs in the package, the Blu-ray 3D and 2D discs and the DVD version of the movie. Which version do you have, is it the single disc DVD?

Update to v8.0.9.0 and try it again. If it still does not work, take the disc back for a replacement. More info in post #11 in this thread:

Drives that do not read well or are worn out may have trouble with this disc. Possibly some players also.
