    Fix the QT versions ?

It has been over a week now since 8.0.9.2 QT has came out and people with XP are still having problems so are they going to fix it or not ? I have had every version since 2.9 and NEVER had a problem until the present versions of QT and many are having the same problems as myself. Please I don't need any comments like do this or that or redownload because I have tried it all.
    Thank You

Some people with XP are having problems, but not all by any means. They are working hard to solve this, but they can't duplicate the problem which makes troubleshooting it very difficult. I have installed it on my old XP machine with SP3 and had no trouble.

I have not had a problem installed on XP Pro Sp3.

        Hi Jimbo

I have also tried to duplicate this by installing on an old computer I have with XP SP2 and the 8.0.9.2 QT version installed and ran fine, I was hoping that it would not run so that I would have a test rig to work with.

A few other members are working with me and trying to trouble shoot this problem in which 8.0.9.2 QT would not install on their system.

Thanks Paul I am glad that they are working on it, just wish they would have mentioned it so that those of us that are having problems wouldn't feel left out. I know it is going to be hard to troubleshoot because not everybody is having problems but there was something that changed in the first QT version and they need to find out what it was. In order to get 8.0.9.2 QT to open I have to click on properties on the icon then find target and click on the icon from there, it won't even open if I go into program files and click on it. I haven't tried using it though to burn a movie, Hopefully they will find something. Also have a nice weekend Paul And to those of you with XP and it works I am happy for you as I stated I have had fab since version 2.9 and this is the first problem I've ever had Also when you talk to Tom tell him I said hi and hope all the flooding didn't get to him

Hey Jimbo, pretty sure Tom is fine, too much altitude for flooding to be a problem. Falling down the mountain is another thing however.

I installed it on the old XP rig, which is SP3 but does not have any windows updates since about February or so. I have no idea if that was a factor. It also has windows security (firewall etc.) almost completely disabled, relying on Kaspersky for everything. It is a single-user, administrator only configuration. That rig has DVDFab v4, v6, v7 and v8 all installed, the v8 being v8.0.5.5 from December 2010 (+8092Qt now).

                  problem on Vista

The problem I have had since installing the QT version on my computer with Vista is with the blank DVD. It reads and copys the original DVd, then the screen comes up asking for a writable DVD and when I switch dvds nothing happens. So I went back to the older version and it works fine.
