I am having a problem installing these updates on my computer. When it gets to installing software, additional tasks, the program locks up and I am unable to install. Any suggestions on what to check?

Try disabling your anti-virus/security software temporarily, and be sure to run the installer "As Administrator" from a downloaded file (click Save in the download dialog, not Run). You might also uncheck the boxes that say "Launch DVDFab" and "What's New".
