    QT problems

How many people are having problems with the QT versions?
I am currently getting email support regarding a never ending "Openning Bluray Source" situation.
I have installed, unistalled, restored Windows (back to factory setup).
Everything worked fine before but every version of QT that I have tried fails.
I have followed the support advise but nothing makes a difference.
I am about to try version 8.1.1.9
DVDFab has been a fantastic product up till now.

Why does everything work fine on 8.0.8.5 but not on QT?
I am using exactly the same drives AND discs in each version

    Norton 360 antivirus & firewall

Not sure why but some XP SP3 users reported problems when the switch was made to Qt builds. Follow the instructions that the support team sends. You can search the forum for the threads others started to see if they are any help as well. Opening a Blu-ray requires that DVDFab have access to the internet, which may be blocked by your anti-virus/security software or a firewall. Try turning it off temporarily.

      Hi Signals
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
I am continuing to follow supports suggestions, however still no success.
May have to stick to 8.0.8.5 until problem solved.
Never had these problems until QT.
Will try your suggestion about anti-virus & firewall

          Hi seanamos
Please make sure that your drivers are up to date for your GPU.
Give this a try Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab, you may also be asked to restart your computer.

I have the latest drivers from ATI (for Radeon HD4850)
            Already done the DMA thing.
That was the last advice from DVDFab support.
            Not making any difference.
Any idea why pre QT versions work fine but every QT version fails.
I am willing to supply any system data you require (if I can find it).

              Hi seanamos
Are you installing and running Fab as administrator?
Instead of clicking run click save then open the folder and right click and install the program as administrator.

                It is installed as administrator.
I just run it by double clicking the icon.
I am the only user profile on the PC and have full privileges.
                Does this make a difference?

                  Hi seanamos
Uninstall Fab clean the registry with CCleaner, install it this way. Instead of clicking run click save then open the folder and right click and install the program as administrator.
When going to run Fab right click the icon and choose run as administrator to see if it will open your disc.
I believe something else may be blocking Fab as Signals suggested.

I used this method after 2 hours of failure and it works, I was having the same problem all the other win7 sp3 users are having and your fix here works.
However being a new user i was unable to post this in the forums. Would you mind? THANKS!

Tried installing as adminstrator and running as administrator.
                      Still same problem
Latest advice from support suggested installing Passkey.
Passkey managed to read the blurays fine and rip to HD
                      DVDFab Qt will not
Even installed 8.1.2.0 and problem persists.
Endless attempting to "open bluray source" with constant hanging.
The hanging continues after DVDFab is forced to shut.
                      Does not recover until reboot.
I am lifetime user of DVDFab DVD copy/rip and Bluray to DVD.
I am not a licenced user of Passkey.
I did not think Passkey was necessary to run DVDFab
All my problems started with the QT versions

Are you using the latest firmware on the BD drive from August 2011?

                          I have firmware WL0F
That links leads to WL0G which will not download.
