Why am I not allowed to edit my profile details?

While logged into the forum, if I attempt to edit my profile details, I receive a message stating, "you do not have permission to access this page."

I have successfully changed my contact email address, and have been able to create new posts, so I am quite certain I am correctly logged in. The attached screen shot shows the error message, along with the "Welcome, bereid" message, also confirming that I am logged in.

Why can I not edit my own profile, and how can I resolve the problem?

    Thank you

I get the same thing, looks like they have it all locked down.

All New Members have this restriction, to prevent possible mis-use of the forum by spammers. It will be lifted automatically when you have been here a little longer or been more active (the user title under your forum nickname will change to "Junior Member").

How to achieve classification above 'New Member'

Having received the explanation about 'New Member' restrictions, I remain curious about how to achieve a higher classification. My membership is not that recent (though I suppose it could be considered so, since relativity is involved). Granted, I have not been an avid poster of new threads or replies, but again, I'm wondering how active I must be?

If I simply post a large number of replies to a given thread (this one, perhaps) within the span of 1 hour, or 5, or 10, or 24, etc., will that trigger my elevation to a more exalted classification?

I mean, all I was hoping to do was add some detail to my member profile. I'm not scheming to crash the server, or commit any such diabolic or malicious activity...

I'm pretty sure that the posts that you make have to be actually useful and it is at the discretion of the moderators, which you agreed to when you signed up.

The membership status is updated by the forum software automatically when the post counts reach what the admin set the default at.

            For Example

            New Member: 0 - 50 posts
            Junior Member: 51 - 100
            Senior Member: 101

These counts listed here are what the default is for the forum software used with no changes by the admins. The admins can change the presets to whatever they desire for the forum, even remove or rename.
