    DVD or BLU_RAY

I ask a question yesterday, so I could understand things about the different A/C codecs in the drop down list. What I did is coyed a dvd with all codecs set to software, then I used all codecs set to "CUDA", and it turned out that the times were only 9sec's apart!

What I wanted to know if there is a difference with Blu-ray and dvd because of your vedio card and the Blu-ray format differnt from DVD format!

But my question was deleted and I couldn't find it anywhere today!

You have a sticky on helping to stop Internet censorship, but then you did the same thing and removed my theard from your fourm, isn't this the same thing were trying to stop? "CENSORSHIP" THank you very much! I have to leave, but I would like some feed back on this if anyone cares to explain!, and I don't mean to upset anyone or to be rude!

Sometimes for the best speed, set decode to software and encode to Software+CUDA. It depends on your PC. The formats of DVD and Blu-ray are very different. For purposes of the A/V Codec settings, you must know the video format of the Blu-ray; they can be MPEG-2 (like a DVD) h264, VC-1 etc. DVDs are always MPEG-2, but the A/V Codec settings do not apply to the DVD Copy module.

I did not see your other post, but if it did not mention other software or otherwise violate the rules (thread hijack etc.) it would not have been deleted. Which forum was it? Do you remember the title you gave it? Were there posts from others in the thread?

        You are welcome!

Your other thread is still there, but I will close it now since the question is answered.

In dealing with Blu-rays you must also remember that they can contain 10X as much data as a DVD, so any process will be slower than it would with a DVD.
