I tried to install the new update today. It hangs up in the set up at additional tasks. I have to use task manager to close the set up. It says set up not responding. Any ideas? I saved the update to computer.

It did not do that for me. Did you run the installer "As Administrator"? Try re downloading and reinstalling over the top of your previous install (the one that didn't finish). No problem here with 8162 Qt...running Win7 Pro, 64-bit.
Maybe you got a bad/corrupt DL... more than once?...
Yeah, I know the chance is remote, but maybe just bad luck x2

Thank you for your help and suggestions.
Today I tried to uninstall DVDfabQT and it would not uninstall. It hung up,not responding and I had to use task manager to terminate the uninstall.
I had cleaned up my registry with Uniblue on Feb 07. I restored my registry from the 7th and was able to install todays update.
I wonder what registry item Uniblue Registry Booster removed that caused this?Comment
