    Cannot run Intel Quick Sync

I have purchased a PC which has a i7 2600 processor but also has a geforce gtx560 ti 448 video card. When I try to set the codec in DVDFAB to Intel Quick sync it tells me my graphics card (GTX560 Ti 448) doesn't support Intel Quick Sync. Do I have to do something in Dvdfab to make it use the i7 ?

Try using CUDA instead, QuickSync is a motherboard and chip set thing.

Put another way, your PC is not making it available to DVDFab. Go into the BIOS, there may be a setting for it in there or contact your PC's vendor.

And not all i7 motherboard chip sets support Quick Sync.

Thanks for the reply, Just another question, what would be quicker CUDA or Intel Quick Sync?

I can't say for sure, never had them side by side but that card should be pretty quick with 448 CUDA cores.

              Quick Sync is quicker.

              Did you install Virtu?

Quick Sync does work fine, I use it all the time.

              I have a GTS450 too.

Intel QuickSync is a technology (hardware design) used in the new CPUs (Sandy Bridge forward). Unless you have a recently built computer with a new i-3 or i-5 installed, QuickSync will not work. Intel has not yet released an i-7 chip with the QuickSync technology.

                  That's in-correct.

                  Several i7's have Quick Sync.
