And to be quite honest, why the reluctance to get a new key?

Not a big mystery. This is obviously a fault in the software and requesting a new key is like reformatting an OS because of a small problem that is probably fixable. Thanks for the helpful info on how to acquire a new registration key.

There were key changes between Ver 5 & Ver 6 and also changes to eliminate the pirate sites that sell pirated copies of Fab and RegKeys.
