Other DVDFab HD Video MP3 Player

Hi everyone! Today I received my DVDFab HD Video Mp3 Player gift and started some playing around with it, and so far it's all OK, since I could copy to it and played one FLV and one MKV video.

But I have a queston about a feature that's not entirely described in the user manual.

It reads:

Recording
In the main interface, select "record" option, short press "Mode" button to come to the recording interface. Press ">||" key to start or pause recording, and the file is automatically saved when you pause. Press "Mode" to bring about setting menu, where you can set the quality of the recording as "good" or "normal" or even "poor". Press "|<<" or ">>|" to select between option, press "Mode" to confirm, and press "Esc" to exit.

Well, what exactly does the player record?

It records sounds using the little microphone in the top. When you record, it creates a "sounds" folder in the root of the internal flash drive with the MP3 sound file inside. It works very well. The settings in the other menu are the sample rate and encoding bitrate, which control the quality. This is based on the first version of the player, but I think it is still all correct.

Almost anything. Since I have Apple stuff, I feed mine the same MP4/M4V files I make for iPhone and iPad.

I think he means he uses the profile in Ripper designed for the DVDFab HD Player. It works well for playback on a PC also.

Just to get it straight, you mean to create a profile with the software to rip stuff to play on the hardware, right?

No, you don't need to create it, it is already there, in fact there are built-in profiles for the player for AVI, MKV, MP4 etc. I have used the MP4+AAC with great success on the Player, iPhone, iPad and my TV-connected media player. Note: these profiles for the Player have not been added to v9 yet, at least I could not find them.

Neither could I, but I do hope that they add it in the future releases.

They are going to try to add the missing profiles ASAP, probably some with each release. It is a known issue.
