    8200qt

I do not normally update my DVD Fab very often, however now I am as someone suggested I do after purchasing DVD Creator.

I downloaded and installed okay 8198QT and have now just downloaded 8200QT from this forum however it will NOT instal and causes my DVD Fab to NOT work altogether.

Tried it several times with same result.

I have been able to reinstal 8198QT and it is again working perfectly but NO 8200QT

I have now closed everything, cleaned with CCleaner and restarted my computer.

With nothing else open, checked the download of 8200QT with Malwarebytes and MSE (no problems) then tried to instal 8200QT again with the same result, causes ALL my DVD Fab to NOT work.

Then reinstalling 8198QT and everything is okay.

Okay, this has me stumped, I will wait after this post for a reply from a programmer or someone.

I just tried (which I had not before) to download and instal 8199beta, which installed and worked perfectly.

Then tried 8200 again and NO good, DVD Fab stopped working altogether, HELP............

    Same problem here!

8200QT will D/L, but after that it will not open! Tryed 3 times! Uninstalled, ran CCleaner, register cleaner! Still no go!

Each time I tryed to D/L 8200QT it gave a different time for D/L!

First time I used CCleaner it removed everything, then when I D/L it again and it didn't work(open)! I ran CCleaner again there was nothing to remove! That happen twice!

Had to re-install 8198QT, everything back to normal!!!!!!

Okay, glad it is not just me, there must be a problem with 8200QT or its download, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I can't duplicate this, I just installed v8.2.0.0 and it works fine. Did you run the installer "As Administrator"? What is your operating system? Try turning off your anti-virus/security software temporarily while installing.

Yes, all done as I have done updates for years and years with no problems.

As I said I checked the download with MSE (my current antivirus) and Malwarebytes, no problems.

I have tried it 4 times now, will NOT work, it downloads but on installation my whole DVD Fab fails.

Afterwards have been able to instal with NO problems at all both 8198QT and also 8199QTbeta.

I just deleted the 8200QT download from my computer, cleaned computer, did a fresh download of 8200QT from here and it again downloads okay but on installing my whole DVD Fab stops working.

Then installed 8199QTbeta again and all okay, DVD Fab starts perfectly and automatically.

What is your operating system? What type of graphics card (if any) do you have?

              downBack again,

Still no luck with 8200QT, always install as adminstrator, W7 64, Avast anti-virus never had a problem with any install all the way back to V5!

EVGA GeForce GTX-460-OC card, use nothing else but FAB! This is the first install that has ever done this! It will D/L just fine and install, but soon as you click on the Icon to open it just sits there and never opens!

Very strange! Tryed once more and found when it D/L it would show as DVDFAB 8200...exe, and wouldn't work, but this time it showed as DVDFAB 8200QT...exe and install and is working just fine now!

                Still no good here.

I even just tried deleting all the downloads, cleaning the computer, downloading all 3 (8200,8198 and 8199beta) downloads, then going off line, cleaning computer again and trying to instal them while the computer was off line.

ALL 3 had downloaded okay, however yet again when installing 8200 it made ALL my DVD Fab stop working.

                The other 2 worked perfectly.

At this point I'd say that 8855A should email his download to davidh & see what happens. It sound more the actual .exe file downloaded is corrupted.

The file that works and runs for me on Win7 is 20,879,824 bytes, check yours. The MD5 checksum is 3FBB44ECF9C972C0F239F5484BED525F.

I just experienced this problem as well with DVDFab not starting after installing 8200QT, then i restarted the system and it worked - just needed a reboot

                        @ davidh,

I read what Digidave posted about e-mail the 8200QT to you, if you need it PM me and you can give that a try!

But, there was a difference in the 8200QT D/L's, frist 3 were 8200...exe, my 4TH try I got 8200QT...exe, I don't know if that is the difference, but it worked and all is running Okay!

Check your downloads with the information I posted or uninstall your existing 8200 using the DVDFab uninstaller and re-download and install again. There was an update to the installer, but I do not know when it changed or what the size/checksum was for the earlier one.

                            Exactly,

I encountered similar issue early yesterday.
Did the usual install to a modified file path. Install went fine, but Fab would not open and run...just dead in the water.
Did a new D/L, this time installed to the default location...same dead in the water issue.

Up to this point, I had checked the installer size which was ok, but hadn't gotten around to verifying the integrity via checksum.

Waited a bit and D/L'd a new installer yet again.
                            Wouldn't you know it...3rd time's a charm...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Just tried yet again, still the same, 8200QT downloads but on installing crashes all my DVD Fab.

                              8198 and 8199beta okay.
