Is there HD-DVD support? I'd like to back up my HD-DVD's.

Greetings. Is the dead HD-DVD format supported? I have a dozen HD-DVD's I'd like to back up simply because the Blu-Ray versions are inferior (the studios used additional noise reduction to 'clean' the picture, resulting less detail).

I did a search but keep coming up with HD Audio threads.

What I am thinking of doing is buying a laptop HD-DVD drive and sticking it in an enclosure like this...

And then ripping them.

If Ripping them is supported, would I be able to back them up to BD-R for playback on a Blu-Ray player or PS3?

Passkey has still has HD-DVD support, DVDFab does not, only one or two releases of v5 had it. Not sure about putting them on BD-Rs, never heard of this being done.
