Dvdfab 8 and 9 not working

I was using Dvdfab 8.2.2.2 on Windows 8 64 bit without any problems.

It prompted me to upgrade to 8.2.2.6. But when trying to install it freezes the PC and it is not possible to uninstall.

So I try to install 9.0.2.0. It installs OK but it will not start.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall many times. I have used cccleaner and downloaded the installer again many times.

I have tried to reinstall the drivers on my pc (Intel 4000 video) but nothing helps.

I have seen posts complaining of both of these problems. Does anyone one else have these problems?

    Hi damirski
I have seen other posts about this same problem, but have not been able to figure out what is causing it.
What are you running for an anti virus?

      Same problem

I'm having a similar problem. DVDfab 9 installs, but it gets hung up when it starts. windows 7. DVDfab8 works OK, but I wanted the features on 9. Previous version of 9 worked fine.

I'm using Windows Defender. I tried turning it off but it made no difference.

I have also the same problem.

So I've tried earlier releases that work. The versions I have tried are 9.0.1.1, 9.0.1.2, 9.0.1.6. (I kept all the older versions). As soon as I got to 9.0.1.8 and newer, it won't work. (Crashes on startup screen). Now this is only on 1 of my computers. The other computers will work all the way up to 9.0.2.0. All of them use Windows xp Pro, and Vista. I don't have Windows 7 to try it on.

It works fine on win7 for me. The staff in Beijing is at their annual meeting and unavailable, but they should be back in the office Monday morning (Sunday evening in Europe and the US) to do some testing.

Someone needs to post the internal log file of v9020 not starting.

Here is the internal log. I also sent the crash report when it failed.

I am having the same problem with DVDFab 9 version (9.0.2.0). Crashes at boot every time. I went back to version (9.0.1.6). That works just fine for me. I am using windows 7 as well.

I may have found my problem...

I redid my whole system. The first time I installed my system, my windows system went to drive I, because of the card reader and extra usb ports that needed to be installed. I since then removed that, and reinstalled my windows and now it is drive C .... Now DVDFAB Ver 9.0.2.0 works. Something resulted from the re-install.

If this helps anybody please let me know also. It did work for me....
