      what do you mean?

It simply won't install. it takes me up to the part where it's supposed to begin installing but instead it just sits there and does nothing.

Use the find files or search function in Windows to find it, the location varies with different versions of the operating system. Search for the file dvdfab_internal.log, then open it with Notepad. Copy and paste the log entry from the install into a post.

Which version of DVDFab were you trying to install? The ones in the log are not current, please try the latest release if you have not already. I have not seen any other reports of this problem, so check your OS settings or anything else (like antivirus) that might block the install. Could also be a bad download, try a fresh one.

                  well

I currently have 9.0.2.3 I installed that on this computer perfectly and it has had no issue. and I have tried 5 fresh downloads and it still does it. I don't understand. It must be a Windows 8 thing or something.

It's not a Windows 8 thing, or not just a Windows 8 thing because I just finished installing both 8.2.2.7 and 9.0.2.6 on my W8 laptop and all went well. I download the installer to the desktop, right click on the installer and run as administrator. No problems.

IMHO you should always download, close the browser and everything else before running as administrator (even if you are the administrator on the computer).
