DVDFab 9.0.2.6 keeps crashing on startup

I cannot get version 9.0.2.6 to run. It crashes on startup each time. I had originally installed version 8, which also crashed on startup. This is from the event viewer:

Faulting application name: DVDFab.exe, version: 9.0.2.6, time stamp: 0x5112138c
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x00000000
    Faulting process id: 0x1190
    Faulting application start time: 0x01ce0d2b3abe6aeb
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\DVDFab 9\DVDFab.exe
    Faulting module path: unknown
    Report Id: 79b5d511-791e-11e2-a447-8c89a5ff7dac

This is what's contained in the log file in \DVDFab9\Log\dvdfab_internal.log file:

    DVDFab 9.0.2.6 (2013/02/17 10:08:05)

    0m 00.01s: Start preload dll...
    0m 00.06s: Load dll successful.
0m 00.06s: Start load fabplay dll...
0m 00.12s: Load fabplay dll successful.
    0m 00.12s: Windows os type is: 13.
    0m 00.12s: Transfer settings successful.

I'm guessing it's an incompatibility issue because I can't get any version to work.
I just bought a lifetime license, but a lifetime of crashes doesn't sound so fun.
I've been using DVDFab for years without issues, this must be related to this particular machine.

    What I've tried so far:

Uninstalled using CCleaner, disabled UAC, reinstalled.

Thanks a lot for anything you can give me.

Uninstalling AMD SDK solved the issue

I was able to uninstall the display driver AMD ATI Radeon 3000, then reinstall and choose the option to EXCLUDE the AMD app SDK from the custom installation dialog.

    The app now starts.

    Hope this helps someone else.

This is not uncommon, thanks for posting your fix. Others have reported it also, must be something in the SDK.
