    Won't register

I can't get the software to register. I have tried the instructions for running in admin. I uninstalled, ran ccleaner and reinstalled.
I sent a message to DVDFab 5 days ago and got no answer. Before I call Visa and dispute the charges, I'd like to see if anyone on here can help.

    Version 8 running Windows 8.

I associated the file that was emailed to me to dvdfab.exe. It says thanks for registering and then is back to trial user.
I also opened the file with notepad and copied the registration code. I opened dvdfab, went to about, and pasted it in the registration box.

I just downloaded v9. Same thing happens. I put in my email and password. It thanks me for registering, then everything is trial version.

I emailed dvdfab again. I'll give them a few days, then dispute the charges.

Try disabling firewall and anti virus and reboot see if it helps

I tried that as well. I turned off internet, windows firewall and A/V and started from scratch, still no luck.

Yes, I ran the installer as admin when I installed it.

            1st
Unistall all traces of dvd fab delete folders etc

            2nd
I dont know how this works on windows 8 but on win7 i would also recommend going to folder options and enable hidden folders than go to search bar and type %APPDATA% >roaming>dvdfab << delete this folder
            3rd
download CCleaner from here run the cleaner option, clicking the old prefetch data in advanced options, then run the registry until nothing is found.
Do it a few time until scan does not find nothing
            4th
If you have not done so yet go to the members area found here select create an account. Make sure that you use the e-mail that you used when purchasing Fab an a password of your choosing. When installing version 9 use the same e-mail and password that you used in the members area when the screen pops up for your registration.
            5th
Now download a fresh installer from here instead of clicking "run" click "save" now navigate to your download folder right click on the installer click run as administrator and reinstall Fab.

            Hope it helps

Thank you for taking the time to help.

I tried everything you had listed, and still can not register. Hopefully they will get back to me and get this straightened out.

It is Monday morning and the office is open in Beijing. They usually have many support emails from over the weekend, but be patient, they will respond. They are the only ones that can access the user registration database.

By associating the key do you mean that you saved it to the hard drive then double clicked it? That's the ticket for me.

Yes. I double clicked the file. I think they gave me a bogus registration. I tried the registration on my sisters Mac and it's doing the same thing.

The PC registration will not work on the MAC.
