Question on licensing. Maybe I missed it, I’m still poking around the new version, but I noticed that if I am not connected to the Internet, My DVD Copy and DVD Ripper license reverts back to Trial Version and indicates that that my licenses are expired. I do not always have Internet access when I am traveling. Is there a way to not have DVDFab be required to log in? I don’t much like that.

Sorry, that is the way it works. It was necessary to preserve the value of the purchased license and prevent others that have not paid for it from using it for free (after the honest users paid to support the development).Supplying DVDFab Logs in the Forum ...........................User Manual PDF for DVDFab v11................................ No, it has been part of v9 since the first Beta and discussed ad nauseam here in the forum. A connection has been required for Blu-ray decryption throughout all of v8. The free aspects of DVD Copy (called HD Decrypter) still work without a connection.Supplying DVDFab Logs in the Forum ...........................User Manual PDF for DVDFab v11................................ I understand, but
I can’t say that I agree. What if the US blocked your URL? Now I will have spent my money for a program that I cannot use. You k now they could do that if they ever got a notion to do so. I cannot believe that you haven’t gotten tons of complaints about this from other users. I travel quite a bit and some places that I travel overseas, I don’t get Internet. Another thought is that I have no idea of what you may be collecting from my system during that log in process. Maybe nothing today, but you could definitely write code to gather personal information and transmit that during the logging in process and I would never know what information you collected. I may be wrong, but I see this as the beginning of the end for DVDFab. There are other programs out there that do not require you to log in to use. If I were a new customer and I found out that it the program required the software to log in before I could use it, I would search for another program. DVDFab is great, but the big brother attitude is extreme. I’m not a hacker, but I’m sure that there are people out there that have already figured out how to get around having to log in first. It just punishes us legal users. Just my opinion - Seventhgift

The server is not in the US and if it is ever blocked (by big brother), they have backup plans in place. Don't be paranoid, DVDFab does not care who you are or where you are, just that your license is valid. You clearly do not understand the importance of having a valid licensing system that protects the product. Without it, development would stop--no more decryption updates, no more new features etc. Then your money really would be wasted! Opinions should not be stated as fact.Supplying DVDFab Logs in the Forum ...........................User Manual PDF for DVDFab v11................................ Guide: Using Images in Posts

Thanks
I have been a user for a long time (with a valid license) and I guess I will have to see how things go. I appreciate your feedback. I might add that everyone has an opinion and that opinion should be of value. The future of any company depends on customer opinion. I don't believe that I ever quoted anything as a fact, and yes, it was (and is) just my opinion. Have a great weekend. - Seventhgift
