GUI Qt Ui issues (dropdowns not working)

Hi there,
all releases after version 9031 (this is the last functional version for me) are unusebal due Qt issues, that dropdown/comboboxes won't expand when clicking on them.
Now as i tried one of the latest releases (9040) I could reproduce this issue and saw the missing dropdown-content as i closed the dvdfab main-window and it was closing the application. This also works when I:
1) single click on a dropdown element to expand
2) move the dvdfab-window anywhere else on the desktop (but keep the left mousebutton clicked)
3) you can see the content of the dropdown in front of the desktop


I am not quite firm with Qt programming, but maybe setting a proper z-index (if there is any) might solve the problem.
I already saw this kind of issue before in this forum but couldn't find it by searching for "dropdown".
BTW: it might be useful to create a subforum "general / ui", because this issue affects *all* dvdfab products.

my System:

16GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 7 Professional 64bit with all current updates
120GB OCZ Vertex3 SSD where the OS is installed
multiscreen-setup (2* 22" tft)

You can post things like this in the General Questions forum, I will move your thread there. I can't duplicate this effect but I do not have 2 displays. It obviously does not efffect most users or the forum would be full of it, so you and others that notice this should monitor this thread to answer questions from the developers. Other things they may need to know would be your graphics card model and video driver or DirectX version etc.

just disabled my second screen and tried it again with 9041, but still no success.

maybe i can look for more, if I'd know which is currently the embedded Qt-version in Dvdfab 9041.
If it might help you, I can demonstrate this bug via teamviewer.

would be nice if this issue won't be forgotten. Due this problem DVDFab isn't usable for me in any way.

what i tried to mention in my last post: it doesn't seem to be a problem with any additional screens.

The link to the bug report you posted is for Mac, I don't know if this would be relevant for the PC Windows OS.

I just tested with 9045 on a nearly fresh-installed Windows8 64bit (same machine). Same issue....

I will check later if I can reproduce this issue again with a fresh installed windows 7 (without any updates) with a basic nvidia driver on it.

Alright, lately i reinstalled windows 7 pro (64bit) and rechecked that issue.

1) release 9046 did work (no dropdown problems)
2) after installing steam, launchy, avast antivir, enabling my second screen and a followed system reboot this issue is present again as described
3) uninstalling steam, launchy and antivir or disabling the second screen couldn't solve the problem
...
finally 4) with release 9047 it all works again like a charm. did you change anything regarding that problem or was it a lucky sporadic effect?
