Rip to Motorola Xoom issue - subtitles

In the advanced options under the subtitles tab, there is only one choice and that is to embed subtitles into the video. I do NOT want the subtitles burned into the video.

How does one disable subtitles? And why isn't it a choice? Is this a bug?

It is not a bug, but the GUI could handle this better. Go to Settings->Streams->Subtitle and click the "do not preselect any stream" button at the top of the page. Some file containers to not permit external subs so the only choice if you want them is to render them into the video. This produces an exact duplicate of the theatrical viewing experience if you use the Display only forced subs option.
