Is there a significant performance increase when using a good video card? I have a Nvidia 9800 GTX Geforce but haven't installed it because I don't really play games but if it will help my ripping acceleration I'll install it.

There is a significant improvement when compressing a BD50 to BD25 or BD9/5 for DVD blank media, also for DVD to Mobile IF the video card has CUDA support. There is a thread in the DVDFab Knowledge Base forum concerning GPU acceleration and the performance of some cards with DVDFab.
