    Avitar Fails on Ripping

    Hi,

If this is the wrong forum I'm sorry and please let me know which forum I should be posting... thanks

I just purchased a copy of Avatar from Blockbuster (previously viewed) and my Dell Laptop does not recognize the disk... my Blu-Rey Player does play the DVD... this is NOT a Blu-Rey version...

Of course DVDFab and Microsoft Media Center will not play it either.

Do I have a defective disk? Should I return it for another copy?
    OR
    Is this normal?

    Any other suggestions?

Yup, there a decent chance it's a defective disc...the fact that it plays in your BD doesn't mean it's not defective.

Take a look here...it's a bit dated, but still useful.

    Exchanging the disc is #6...

    Hope this helps
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Next time, post in the forum for the module you are trying to use, i.e. DVD Copy, BD Copy, Ripper etc. Thanks to the maineman for helping you out.
