9.1.1.1 What do did you do?

Just installed 9.1.1.1 from 9.1.0.6. (Skipped right over 9.1.1.0 because I didn't get an email about it.)

Okay......the interface has yet again changed. (I HATE the bland, single dimension, cookie cutter, windows 8 GUI everyone is going to these days) ......Function over form I say; so I can handle that.

    BUT

Call me stupid, but I can't find the settings buttons and it looks very BASIC compared to the previous version. Plus where is the user guide?

I'm backing up a DVD now, and maybe it's me but I have been doing Blu-Ray disks in less than 1 hour , but this DVD is taking about 25 minutes. Is this NORMAL?? It seems slower. I don't have any Blu-Rays to back up currently so I can't compare apples to apples.

So whats up with the interface and were are the settings and other stuff I was just getting use to to?

EDIT: So it took almost 21 minutes to copy the DVD to my HD. Not bad. I think. BUT my first real gripe....

PLEASE REMOVE THE ADD from the "Process Completed Sussessfully!" window. I want the window, not the add. I have a lifetime licence. I paid my dues. NO Adds please.

You can access Common Settings from a dropdown list that opens with the little triangle button (points down) in the upper right.

The last DVD I did took about 12-13 minutes (to HDD, no compression). Not sure what you are seeing there.

      Thank you, There it is!

I'm compressing the DVD to DVD5 size. The movie (Scary Movie 5) is about 1 hour 20 some minutes with about 93% of original size.

      Now about that manual....

A friend of mine didn't find it either. When I pointed out the icon he said "that's the eject button" and I said no, the eject button's triangle is facing upwards, this is facing downwards. Still, another icon might be better.

Thats exactly why I didn't see it. Looks to much like the eject button. 9Come on DVDFab, Form over function??

            Thanks!

Wait ...please tell me the Ads thing is a joke. That would prevent me from updating as I already paid for the product.
