I've tried to copy Enders Game as well, but about 5 or 6 minutes in, a copy protection warning appears, and then quickly moves to a point well into the movie. This is a copy protection matter, not a dirty disk, disk space or anything else. I've almost given up backing up movies completely now because:

    1. DVDFab doesn't even tell me when the disc contains Cernavia.

    2. Disc's don't play back well, pixelating first. A huge blank space is left from the center of disc, not normal. With Windows 8.1 32 GB RAM, 1 tb hard disc and i7 3770, I can't imagine the problem being anything but copy protection. I use TDK and Sony discs.

I had the same issue. I don't have the log yet, but I am attaching the messsage. Funny, if I use dvdfab8 and use mkv remux it seems to work fine, with one exception. One small scene is repeated early in the movie, then it appears to play fine. I am in Canada and it's region A

            The message is this
The disc you've inserted cannot be played due to copyright restrictions. Please visit a local retail or online store of choice to purchase a genuine copy.
If you try to play back an original disc on your computer and experience a "copy detected" message, plase ensure that no ripping or copying tool is actively running while preforming the playback.

v8 probably does not support this disc. Use v9.1.2.8. As to the message, I think it is due to the Cinavia-infected firmware in whatever you are using to play the disc. It considers anything without AACS encryption as a non-trusted source. You can try the Cinavia workaround in DVDFab but the firmware may still reject it.

I don't have a license for v9. I did however, decrypt it with the newest release of 9. I have tried it on my computer, my wdtv live, my wdtv tvlive hub, and my Sony smart tv. All do the same thing. I have combined the movie with Handbrake and get the same results. Sorry, I don't know much about this tuff. Just thought I could help.

Murray, if you have a license for Version 8, Version 9 is no additional cost for the licensed modules. Just go to the members area of the web site and create an account using the email address you used to purchase version 8 and a password of your choice then register Version 9 with those.

I bought a used computer off ebay and it was on it. I looked at purchasing a new version but it says the license is only good for 1 or 2 years. It never seemed worthwhile. Am I mistaken?

You can buy a lifetime license. That's the best value.
