Try before you buy

I downloaded the trial version of dvd fab last night and I was trying to burn one of our movies and it reads the disc, and it reads the blank disc no problem. However when it tries to start copying it, it says you are trying the dvd to dvd option, and then it doesnt do anything after that. It freezes up at like 11-14 seconds in and does not do anything else. I wanted to try this program before I bought it, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any suggestions on this?

well you can right click the desktop icon for DVDFab and try to run the program as administrator to see if that stops the freezing

Which version number of DVDFab are you using and where did you download from?

What system are you on, what version are you using Free or Paid what movie,etc, etc, etc.

I downloaded the newest dvdfab from this site, I have a windows xp pro system. I am using the try before you buy, so the trial verison as the topic states. I tried it with 3 different movies, the brand new harry potter, paul blart-mall cop and bedtime stories. All three I had the same experience. I am not going to buy dvdfab if I cant try it before I buy it. If its just going to freeze up like this. I want to see how it works, how the quality is after burning and so on.

Which burn engine are you trying it with, VSO , ImgBurn , Nero ?
What brand of media are you using ?

I am trying to use dvdfab, no other program, I was told by a friend awhile ago that I could copy my dvd's onto dvd-r's to back them up and thats what I was trying to do, but I cant even use the program.

Well some people are having problems with the VSO burn engine that comes with DVDFab
Imgburn is a free program that works great with DvdFab
Here is a link to setting it up to burn with Fab



For best results you also want to use the best media that you can, as my signature says: I use Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim media only.

The link to download Imgburn is in my signature also. If you would like to load it up and try it I think you will have better success at what you are trying to do.

Is your computer a new one or is it possible it has had dvdfav downloaded on it before?
Does your complete system freeze or just DVDFAB.

I just reformatted and reinstalled windows xp pro on my computer before I had installed dvdfab. I have the newest version of dvdfab on my computer too and yet I still can not use it. I guess I am kinda glad that you can try before you buy cause if I cant get it to work like this, I won't buy it. I always try trials if they have them.

Karla Have you tried burning with Imgburn as the burner?

BTW how much ram do you have in your system?

we have 1.5 gb of memory in it, and I downloaded imgburn but have not tried using it yet because I am still trying to get dvdfab to work. I see so many people using it but I cant even get it to back up one of my dvd's and I have tried on several of them

Are you trying Full Disc or Main Movie ?
