Chat always Unavailable & Payment Refunded

I have never seen the DVDFab chat line open. What gives? Yesterday I sent payment via internet for Lifetime DVDFab copy for Mac and the transaction went through OK and I used the software that night. However, today, from my user page it says that transaction has been refunded. Is DVDFab refunding people's payments now? Why does it take so long to find a reasonable reply from DVDFab?
