    DVD Fab Crash Dump

    Hi,

Just have a quick question. Is there a reason why DVDFab creates a crash dump file every time I open the program? It's getting annoying because these files are around 60MB. It only happens when I open the program.

Currently running version 9.1.7.1 on Windows 8.1 x64 (This has happened with every version of 9).

    Thanks!
    OS: Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Is there a reason? I am certain there is, but no one else has reported it so far. Does the DVDFab crash report generator run when this happens? Have you checked the DVDFab logs to see if there are any entries that might help isolate the problem?

      signals,

Thanks for the quick reply. I should also note when I run the video converter, FabProcess creates a crash dump too. Please see attached logs.

I think one of the reasons people aren't reporting this is the crash dump folder is a hidden folder located in the AppData/Local/ folder.

I noticed the issue when my C: drive started to fill up with all these crash dumps from DVD Fab.

Does your Xeon support the SSE2 instruction set?

            Resurection of this thread

I've reported having this problem several months ago - see my previous posts. I had same issues with Win 8.1 and a crash dump file was created - 65mb. Then I installed Win 10 and the issues seemed to disappear.... seemed to... NOW, now I get 5 crash dump files, 66mb each!!! Everytime I fire up DVDFab!

            they are named:
            DVDFab.exe.nnnn.dmp 66,603KB
            DVDFab.exe(1).nnnn.dmp 66,657KB
            DVDFab.exe(2).nnnn.dmp 66,656KB
            DVDFab.exe(3).nnnn.dmp 66,663KB
            DVDFab.exe(4).nnnn.dmp 66,662KB

(nnnn is a random 4 digit number)

            Program seems fine... seems fine.

            I'm confused
