    Problems since 9.2.0.8

I ripped a disk earlier no problem then later had notification of an update to 9.2.0.8. After the update my next attempted rip read the disk but then didn't select a track to copy. I tried other disks including the one that had worked prior to the update and have the same issue. It will read any disk but then not select a track or show any tracks to select from.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch but still the same issue.

I have also noticed after reading another thread that I can see the selected track if I click on another tab such as Copy or Converter then return to the Ripper tab. However the profile Advanced Settings view is corrupted with fields all messed up and overlaying each other.

according to the post you are supposed to a clean uninstall of dvdfab
and re download a fresh install of dvdfab and then try the fix.

The solution in the other thread does not appear to be working, but it is hard to tell since no one has supplied the requested file and the original poster has not replied. I suggest that you wait until the office reopens next week and see what the DVDFab staff has found. They were trying to duplicate the problem on Friday when I talked to them.

I did do a fresh install before this. Twice actually but to no avail.

                  Thanks for the update Signals.

I was having all sorts of difficulties with 9208. I'm not saying this will fix your problem, but what I did to make it start working again for me is this:

                    1) uninstall the old version completely. (Optionally delete the directories it was installed in)
                    2) restart the computer.
                    3) right-click the installer and run it as admin.
                    4) install it in a completely different directory. It should ask you to restart the computer after this. If it doesn't, I'd suggest doing it again in another directory.

If I had to guess, there is probably something in the install or uninstall that isn't cleaning out everything.

Alternately, the other thing I did to cure the problem for me was to run the program itself as admin. This worked for me as well.

I reinstalled because I didn't want to keep answering that question every time I ran it as admin.

I had tried installing as admin (but not running it as admin). However I hadn't tried in another directory and definitely wasn't asked to restart (although I did anyway). I'll try running as admin and if that works, I'll give the install a whirl again as you described.

Sad to say that after a fresh install of 9.2.0.9 (after complete removal of previous version including personal stuff and restarts in-between) my problems remain. Still have both issues i.e. track selection not shown after BD load and the corrupted Advanced settings for profiles. Also noticed that even before clicking on Advanced settings, the summary of the profile in the left side is also not show.
