    "Encoding method" in DVDfab ripper

"Encoding method" in DVDfab ripper has 3 alternatives: Fast encoding - 1pass, CRF and High quality encoding - 2 pass.
When ripping a BDMV source (not a real Bluray disc), does this setting have any effect on video quality?

Not that I have ever been able to see. Opinions differ, but if you set the bits/pixel between .25 and .30 and use 1 pass, it will run much faster and will look very good. Since this is subjective, you should try a few chapters of the same movie using each option and see which you prefer.
