    GTX 970 vs GTX 980 Ti Cuda Performance

    Hi

    I have two pc;

    1 - Core i7 6700k - 16 GB Ram - Nvidia GTX 980 ti (2816 Cuda Cores)
    2 - Core i7 4790k - 8 GB Ram - GTX 970 (1664 Cuda Cores)

    I can try convert 75 min HD TV record files;

    980 Ti: Encoding FPS:440.58 Time: 00:04:15
    970: Enconding FPS:519 Time:00:03:35

    Why gtx 970 faster 980 Ti?

    Hi mahmutsoylu
    My guess is that the 970 is bundled with the Intel HD Graphics 4600 and the 980 is bundled with the Intel HD Graphics 530 only way to tell is compare apples to apples.

      Is only about a 15% difference, it could vary that much based on differences in bus speeds and mobo architecture between 2 machines. Source read speed could be slightly different as well.

          I get almost exactly a 15% faster encode from a SATAIII internal HDD than a USB 2.0 external HDD with my GTX 980 on the same system. The speed of the source drive is a factor.
          How to post the internal log
