Doubtful I did a clean install of 9.2.2.8 and no doubt about it faster. Titles that were down to 80fps or less are back up to about 300fps on H.265.

I just backed up a HP film, and it is back up to the expected fps. I changed absolutely nothing in the past 30 minutes of testing.
It looks like the speed (settings = h.265 mp4, HQ) is somehow tied to the disk you're backing up....
so I'm at 9.2.3.1 and driver 361.43.
I'll try a few more disks and see if the fps stays high, or takes a header!

If it works like it did for me it will take a header on certain titles. I checked a title that was slow on 9.2.3.1, 80 or less fps, on 9.2.2.8 and it was up around 300fps. Good luck! How to post the internal log

I feel there is something broken with 9.2.3.1.
I attempted to back up HP part 1 with 9.2.3.1 and the best fps was 34.
I removed 9231 and installed 9.2.2.8. (kudos for the help Signals and CR929!)
Now it is running 172 fps, and climbing.
Nothing changed on my system except uninstalling 9231 and installing 9228.
Used the same blu ray disk, same blu ray drive etc. I even have handbrake running a queue of jobs in the background.
90312 is right. Version 9.2.3.1 works okay for some titles, but hits the wall on others! Version 9228 is the speed king, close to 250 fps backing up using h.265 HQ, mp4 container!
Hopefully the dvdfab team is reading this and can look into why 9231 is doing what it is doing......Last edited by rozemab; 03-05-2016, 12:31 AM.

Hi rozemab
If you want you can have more than 1 version of DVD Fab installed on your computer in case one version gives you problems or for testing.
It may sound complicated but it's really easy to do this: Download latest version of DVDFab and save it, browse to the saved file right click (run as administrator). During install when the screen comes up for destination folder C:\Program Files\DVDFab 9xxx I change the blue from DVD Fab 9xxx and add 231 to the xxx or whatever version you are installing after the 9 next, start menu folder check box do not create start menu folder next, uncheck boxes create desktop icon and quick launch icon next.
After install restart computer, browse to C:\Program Files\DVDFab 9xxx double click the folder, right click the DVDFab application file send to desktop, right click the new DVD Fab icon rename to the version you just installed hit enter, DONE

rozemab, I have created a folder on the HDD and save the last 10 or 15 Fab installers for a need like this. The installer files are small and don't take up much space I was able to roll back to 9.2.2.8 very quickly. Just a suggestion. How to post the internal log

I am still having problems with FPS on rips. There was a time when I thought that changing the video driver helped, but it didn't. It does seem to be linked between 9228 and 9231. Since I thought I was the only one having these problems I was going to live with it until I could rebuild my machine. I have ripped discs with a normal FPS for my system, but they are few and far between. If I can find something that I could point my finger at as being the real problem I would let you know. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.Last edited by Darkore; 03-06-2016, 03:30 AM.
