My dvd drive stopped working

Not sure when, but my dvd drive stopped working in Win7. Deleted all dvd drives in device manager, didn't work. Reloaded device drivers, didn't work. Tried several other drives, didn't work. Tried external usb drive, didn't work. Tried the suggestions here:

Method 5 worked when I deleted LowerFilters, which had a value of DvdFab. Did the DvdFab program do this, or is it a windows thing?

The filter driver may have gotten corrupted, I have Win7 with that filter and it is fine. DVDFab/Passkey will re-install it at your next update. If you get any error messages from a DVDFab product, just re-install it.
