    Apocalypto

DVDfab has a real problem backing up and converting this Apocalypto Blu Ray disk...

Constant application crash at every attempt to convert or rip, even when converting the movie after being ripped by other software (which BTW plays great) I've just had to resort to other applications in order to succeed with converting this title..

have tried v7.0.6.5 , v7.0.6.2 & v7.0.4.0 all with same result using default setting and many other combinations....

I have a large collection and this is currently the only title with this issue

Try turning off the CUDA decode. Set it for software decode and encode, then try CUDA encode. You can cancel it after a few minutes if it looks like it is working. Attach all the log files to your next post.

      Well, I did as requested.

selected software for decoding and encoding tried again; crash immediately..

selected software+CUDA for encoding only tried again; crashed immediately..

restarted DVDfab tried again; didn't crash but hung at less than 2% complete and time remaining increasing to 5 hour+ so canceled process.

      installed CoreAVC and restarted.

selected corecodec for decoding; program crashed repeatedly until removing disk.. then app ran. selected again corecodec for decoding and software+cuda for encoding; DVDfab No longer crashes on opening..

Inserted Apocalypto disk and tried again; Conversion now hangs at 0.59% fps decreases, time remaining increases.. process was canceled when time to complete reached 5 hours+ and % completed did not change..

reselected CUDA for decoding and encoding application hangs at same place and subsequent attempts results in immediate application crash...

Note: with this disk inserted the cpu usage is minimal when application is running and a conversion is in process replace disk with another title all is good.. Original disk plays great and rips with other software..

Like many forums, we have a time window during which posts can be edited. It is generally long enough for second thoughts and correcting typos.

Thank You. And 7066 works great, stable it seems. I need to try Apocalypto again...

OK v7066 works great on many other titles converted today but unfortunately is slow as molasses at converting Apocalypto On Blu Ray and crashes long before completion. Crash report sent..

We can add Watchmen (Blu Ray) to the list as it behaves similarly..
