The workaround suggested by SecretSuperstar worked. Thanks a bunch for now. I hope to find a permanent solution.

How come it suddenly came up avg has been fine up until now was it because of a virus definitions update. Is this a dvdfab or avg problem if so i hope there is a permanent solution.

This is a false positive created by AVG and you need to contact AVG about it. DVDFab is fine and my virus protection does not report any problems on both of my computers as I have different protection on each of them.

Again this is not a DVDFab problem

I had the same thing some time ago with McAfee.

Best advice I got from someone here was that IF you are only copying DVD to DVD as I do, copy your DVDs while off line, and also disable automatic updates, just check for them here on the Forums.

I believe it is different for Blu-rays.

being a new computer user not really up with everything but does this problem with avg normally right itself after they check it out as ive tried to use fab offline and it still comes up with the same error message.

Thank you SecretSuperstar! I simply "ignore"d the warning then did just as you suggested and it works just fine now. Thanks for the help!

Yes AVG will release an update that fixes this if enough people report this false positive to them

Hi guys do a avg update now and i think you will find this fixes the problem it did for me. I removed the manage exceptions thing and dvdfab works but you might have to reinstall dvdfab and then it works fine again
