    Interrupting encoding with background task

Interrupting encoding with background task, would it affect the quality of encode? or just slow it down?

    #2
It would negatively affect in most of the cases. Especially harmful are AV/Firewall, Windows Task Manager, Updates (not just Windows, but all of them), etc.

so if i run flac-mp3 encoder at the same time it woud affect the quality of encodes, eg jumping/audio interrupts?

I think you could anticipate problems.

General Rule from Unca Gregi's Little Red Book !!!

Do not multitask while doing encodes !!!

Yes, it would. Lower fps are given!!! However, several codecs working at the same time (especially two audio codecs) is almost guaranteed trouble.
