Disc changing colour

Hi all,

I've been using DVDfab to rip my DVD's to hard disk (film only, DVD9 no compression, DVD to DVD, save to HD) and this morning the disc has started to decolour:







Does anyone know what this is caused by? It seems to be something similar to leaving it in the sun but WAAAY worse. It appears that I can still read the DVD's at the moment, but I'm not sure whether its destabilising it or something.

Also, it's stopping the rip - the speed drops until it hits 0 as well...

The original discs are changing color? Must be something with your drive, DVDFab does not do anything in the read process that could damage them.
