Blank Media verbatim dvds

I have heard a lot of people say that the verbatim DVDs are the best if they come from Hong Kong, I've recently purchased some that says they come from Taiwan, I was just wondering if these are the same quality. They are dvd+r single layer. Thanks in advance for all your help especially the moderators.

Verbatim source disks from a lot of different plants around the world. In my experience they generally have consistently high standards, some more so than others.

If you want the best then see if you can get your hands on the Japanese made Taiyo Yuden (who also make for Verbatim sometimes). I have used many hundreds of TY media and have never had a single problem.

The DLs are made in Singapore and India and perhaps other places. All the ones I have bought in the past 3-4 years were from Singapore. The author of ImgBurn, LUK!, who probably knows more about recordable DVD media than anyone on the planet, recommends Verbatim only for DLs.
