I am trying to merge two full length disks. The final size of the merge will end up being about 9-10 GB. As far as I can see there is no option to merge without compression, the best I can do is set it to DVD9 and have it compress about 75%. I will be re-encoding these to h.264 with a separate program for my HTPC and I want to let the encoding program do all the compression. For the rip I want to start with same as DVD quality. Any suggestions?

At one time it was possible to set the DVD9 size to 10000MB in DVDFab, not sure why or when this changed.
