DVDFab and USB device

I just installed DVDFab 8, but every time I run it, it disconnects my USB 3G modem.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
It also happened when I used DVDFab 7.
The software works but during the time I'm running it I can't access Internet because my modem is disconnected.
Is there anything I can do to solve it?

Yes, it's the exact same problem.

Does this modem appear in My Computer as a disc drive?

I think it does.
It appears in "My Computer" in "Devices with Removable Storage" together with my DVD drive and my virtual drive. It appears as if it was a pen drive.
