    New User, probably old question

I tried the search function but had no luck with my question.

I am on a trial basis with this program and would love to purchase it, if I can get it to work. I recently bought an apple TV and am trying to convert my DVD's to MP4. They are the kind you purchase with the "extra" features I do not use.

So I downloaded the program, ran it in the DVD rip mode, selected AppleTV as the end product and unchecked the sub-picture thing, and only checked the movie and not the other features of the DVD, the rest I pretty much kept at the defaults.

Anyway, it is running very slow, it started at upper 20's FPM and then went down to 6FPM and now it's at 10. So far 2.5 hrs elapsed and 1.5 to go.

Is this normal for a 2 hour movie?
Is there a way to speed it up?

My brother uses some other program that he said takes off the protection and then he converts it from AVI to MP4 with a seperate program. Overall he said his way is still substantially faster. However, I think his is a lower quality made for mobile devices.

(PS Last night I tried this at home on my other machine with an external DVD drive and it was about 3 hours a movie but came out very choppy, I thought the drive was somehow too slow and that may have caused the problem)

Go to common settings of DVDFab the green dot with check mark top right and go to A/V Codec. Change all selections to Software only and give another try

      Thank you for your response,
After 4.5 hours it finished but was just as choppy as on my other machine.
      I uninstalled.

The other program I tried had even more issues.

At this point I am looking for any working program, money is no longer a concern as I am fear-full of getting a heart attack from this.

Windows is an abomination, may the world move to mac soon my brothers!

DVDFab is capable of making these conversions (to MP4) at very high speeds (in the hundreds of frames per second) on high performance PCs. If you are not using the latest release of DVDFab, please try it (v8.0.2.9 Beta, which you can download from here in the forum).
