    no 16:9 output

I have just brought the latest retail version mainly because of the 3d copying and DVD creator. I have tried to create a DVD from m2ts file that I encoded with Sony Vegas Pro11. The m2ts file was 16:9 (have checked with media info) but the resulting DVD (VOB) file is 4:3. The quality is excellent but I can find no way of resolving the aspect ratio change. I also had to disable GPU acceleration before it would start. Any I deas/tips on the Ratio change would be greatly appreciated

Was the original file 16:9 flat or anamorphic? Letterboxed/pillarboxed? I have not tried one of these yet but maybe we can figure it out.

Hope you enjoyed Chinese New Year. Year of the water dragon I believe? Have tried your new version 8.16.0 but still same result > need to turn off GPU acceleration and still only 4:3 output. Looking forward to a fix when you get to it. Otherwise very happy with your software > it appears to run extremely well on my system. Any possibility you will go down the open GL path or will you continue concentrating on CUDA.

I ask because I recently upgraded from Nvidia GTS 250 to AMD HD 6870 as it was recommended for Vegas. It works well with DXVA on your software but I don't see any acceleration evident in the AMD system monitor when using the AMD APP setting. (yes I have installed latest driver and codec pack)

From my limited understanding the open GL would work equally well on NVIDIA or AMD and not tie your software to a particular piece of hardware. That idea appeals to me as I have always had an aversion to manufacturers who attempt to lock you into their particular brand eg SONY

                Please fix this issue

I am also having the same problem, no conversion to 16:9 when using DVD Creator. Other programs similar to this have the option to "preserve aspect ratio." Please let us know when this issue will be fixed.

                    16:9 output not happening

I have tried the latest 8.1.6.5 beta version.
To Create DVD9 of a movie I have in .mkv format (8.3 GB size in 1080 format), and it will not ever make the DVD in the 16:9 output. It still only making to 4:3 output.

Is there any way to adjust the settings to make the "DVD Creator" process settings at 16:9 output??

                      Hi LarryLaser,
Try the lastest release 8166 and then feed back. If the output is 4:3, please post the lastest internal log.

                        Hi Terry5

I have tried the beta 8166, and it did not work, but, I just tried the 8167 beta version just a few minutes and it did work, and on the output is 16:9, I am about to try the test.

                        Thanks terry5

Having this same issue with 8.2.1.3

I am feeding a 1080i 16:9 video into DVD Creator. I am getting back a letterboxed 4:3 video. There seems to be no settings to keep aspect ratio in 4:3.
