    Ratatouille Blu Ray

I am using the 30-day trial version of BluRay to BluRay, and am 1 for 2 on copying my BD disks. I am using MAIN MOVIE mode and am copying to BD25. I deselect all but English AC3/5.1 for audio, and do not include any subpictures (BTW, what exactly is subpicture anyway? Subtitles?).

The rip portion appears normal. It then goes to burn. I've tried both VSO and IMGBURN. In both cases, the burn appears normal (VSO gave me the error 123 which is why I went to IMGBURN based on threads here in this forum).

IMGBURN verifies the copy as good.

I insert the disk into my PS3, it starts to whir, and I get nothing but a blank screen. FF and SKIP just give me "Operation not available here".

I've tried three times and wasted three 25GB BD-R's. I don't want to risk any more.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Is the trial version limited in anyway? I am planning on purchasing it, but 1 for 2 on BD copies is not reassuring (Mamma Mia was the other BD that did copy).

    Thanks in advance.

Is the rip playing fine on computer before/after burning?

I think that's a Disney specific thing. Ratatouille is a Disney title, or not?
I have the same or a similar problem with some Disney titles:
Meet the Robinsons doesen't play in any Blu-ray drive.
Pirates of the caribbean vol. 1 and vol. 2 : Both of these titles don't play on my stand alone Blu-ray player. But they play well on my PC Blu-ray drive.
All three titles play perfectly from the folder on my harddisk drive.
I suggest to buy a BD-Rewritable! I always burn the movies first on a BD-Rewritable. If this copy functions, I am using normal BD-R.

Blazkowicz: I have a very subtle problem. My BD writer is installed on my old P4, thus, the computer itself is incapable of displaying/rendering BD for viewing. I can only use it for ripping/burning, and have to test the results on my PS3. But, as MovieHeini stated, I will buy some BD-RE's and try first to save myself from all the potential coasters.

I also read in some threads here, that DVDFAB might be selecting the wrong file (if I recall, there are four files that are 1:50 in length, two are AC3/5.1, two are AC3/2, so I know it's one of the two AC3/5.1's). I will try again tonight once I get the BD-RE. I'll post results...

But I'm still interested in hearing what others may think is the problem.

        Thanks all!

          Hi kcfong2,
Welcome, the answer to your first question is yes,

as for the the second question, that to is yes, with movie in drive, open main movie function, insert disc, and look for a chapter that would be the appropriate length for the movie and select that one then begin your rip.

and I would buy just one BD-RE, as that is just your experimental disc, and when you have it right, then you can burn to a 25 GB disc

Have you obtained the latest 6.2.0.0 beta announced yesterday?

Gregiboy, I can't get access to the beta... apparently I don't "qualify"... probably because I haven't purchased yet.

Anyway, here is more on my situation with the current non-beta release:

At the suggestion of another user, I tried a different movie file (interestingly, there are four movie files that are each 1:50 long, two are AC3/5.1, two are AC3/2 (I know the AC3/2 are not what I want, but why two AC3/5.1?). Anyway, I chose the second one this time, and started. This time, DVDFAB errored out:

                20:10:54: Source( 00052.m2ts )
                20:10:55: No compression needed
                20:10:56: Copy process started
                20:13:15: Task_1 failed! Error=1000(501.1 5 filter(type1:id1), info = 501.2 6,
                )
                20:13:17: Process failed!

                Any ideas?

                -Kevin.

Purchase has nothing to do with it. The reasons were explained in the PM I sent you.

Same issue with full version 6.1.2.5 (lifetime updates) I have tried 4 times to get this movie to work and no luck....Same error message. 123. I use anydvd to rip the movie and then dvdfab to burn. No luck.

when you are using image burn, are you making sure its in UDF 2.5 mode?

also, could the problem perhaps be your drive? I use to have a sony optiarc drive that was hit or miss when burning. Bought an LG and no problems since.

also, could your disc media be the problem? I use known reliable brands like Verbatim and Sony...sometimes crappy no-name brands can be a problem? (but this is just guesses to help you with your situation)

                        Hi all,

Okay, here's an update. I installed my LG BD drive in my "newer" computer, just on a whim, and now it works... at least I can copy the FULL bd. I still can't seem to copy just the main movie, but I haven't had a whole lot of time to experiment (I'm still just 2-3 days into evaluating DVDFAB).

                        NOTE TO SIGNALS:

Yes, I read your PM and I understood you fully, but I extrapolated that "internal" referred to licensed users (which, BTW, I am planning on being). So far, I've liked your product much more than AnyDVD or any others I've checked out.

Thanks for the input everyone. This is definitely a forum with good, active users.

Your wrong there. I have used Bluray to Bluray with about 98% success rate. It is an excellent piece of software which for the most part does what it's intended for.

I originally made backups to BD25 and played them on a PS3 with great success. I then lent a copy to a colleague who said his PS3 would not play them but his standalone Bluray player would. I have heard similar stories from others. I now have a Sony BDP-S370 which plays them all, no problem.
Can you try yours in a standalone instead of the PS3?

By the way, I use Imgburn for writing.
