v8.0.6.7 Reading & Burning Errors

I have had 3 issues come up using a Pioneer BRD-206 drive with single layer 25GB BR disc and DVDFAB v8.0.6.7. when trying to copy main movie.

Sometimes DVDFAB v8.0.6.7 doesn't reconize that there is a writable disc in the drive or says that the BR disc is not writable, please insert writable disc.

Then when it does see and accept the disc as writable. After the encoding and burning process, I get a pop-up which reads, the write process failed would you like to try again.

I used Your-Uninstaller to remove DVDFAB v8.0.6.7 from my system and then re-installed it using default common settings.

Using Intel Quad Core 2.8GHz - 8GB of 1333MHz Dual Channel Ram - WD 10K Raptor Drive for OS and Programs - Win 7 Ultimate OS - Nero - IMGBurn - Slysoft etc...

What brand of 25GB single layer media are you using?
Typically, when using the internal burning software included with DVDFab (VSO Burning Engine), the only times I have dealt with it telling me the write process could not finish or it wasn't successful, was when the movie was not compressed enough (was too big) for my 25GB disc. This is usually caused by inaccurate total GB figures. When inserting a Blu-Ray Disc, please let the "Scanning" process finish to get a precise number so you are able to tell if it will fit. If you don't, the program will not know how to properly compress the movie.

You should also go into the common settings of DVDFab and change your burning software from VSO to ImgBurn.

Error 122 is unsupported media, which is surprising as i use the same media with a Pioneer 205 with no problems. Use Imgburn instead of the VSO engine that comes with DVDFAB. I'm using the stock firmware that came with the drive a year ago, and haven't updated it yet. Don't fix what isn't broke.

As bmiller said the error that you are getting is
122 HWS_FAILED_CALIBRATING 22 // Write failed at the beginning of the media (often a media that is poorly supported by the drive)
I would suggest using ImgBurn for your burn engine it is "free" and you will find it here along with a tutorial on setting it up with Fab do not forget to set up the AWS in ImgBurn and lower your burn speed to 4X, you should always burn at 1/2 the rated speed of your disc's

Switch to IMGBurn

I did as both B Miller and CBR929 suggested. Copy and Burn of Iron Man was a success! I watched the disc in it's entirityand it was flawless V10 A10!

I will post the logs when I am at home. I also tried to to copy the main movie of Stargate a second time, but the inernal clock showed 14 hours remaining in process time? So I aborted the attempt. I then used IMGBurn to create an ISO file of the disc, which was sucessful, 42GB in 1:09 minutes. I then used DVDFAB to open, extract and encode the main movie from the ISO file.The above posted is the Process Log from that failed attempt.

Is this an episode disc ie. the tv series with multiple episodes? If so, i tried a different disc with multiple episodes with 3 ealier versions of Fab, and i couldn't get the file small enough to burn. There is still a major problem with series type Bluray's.
