Is there an option to remove trailers / adverts?

Wondering if the option is available. I would be ripping full discs to folder structure.

    Hi andyd
I am pretty sure that what you are asking, you would use the main movie option.

I still want the menus / extras though. I just don't want the forced trailers / advertisements at the start of the movie

Oh so the option is not available? Hmm. I'll have to hold off on purchasing then. I don't like the forced adverts at the beginning.

It is not available for Full Disc backups of DVD or Blu-ray. For other copy modes it is available. For instance, Main Movie has no commercials or "adverts" (BD or DVD), Customize mode can remove them from DVDs. There will be a Customize mode added for Blu-ray, it is still under development. Either DVD or Blu-ray Copy will remove the restriction that prevents fast-forwarding through the adverts or selecting the disc main menu at any time (for most discs), which allows the user to bypass adverts and previews.

Over two years later and it still does NOT work for Blu Ray. Just one of many things that doesn't work. And cant seem to find anything recent that states otherwise.

There is no way that DVDFab is going to be able to have an option that can be set while doing a full disc copy, to not have trailers, etc.

Why? Because the program has no idea what the m2ts files contain. You and I can see this stuff when playing the disc, but DVDFab can't "see".

It could remove something that should be there.

Yes, they can be annoying. Some of the trailers I watch. But, so far every disc I've played has allowed me to skip them and on many of the newer releases, you can just press menu to bypass the whole lot.

That said, Customize is so badly broken it isn't funny. No idea why it is taking years to fix it.

There is some new technology under development that should allow similar navigation tricks for Blu-ray that we currently have for Full Disc mode in DVD Copy (like "Jump to Main..." and "Remove annoying PGCs").

Regardless, I wouldn't let this one feature be a deal breaker. I tried DVDFab since version 6 was out and used the demos and trial until they expired. Always frustrurating because when I really needed to back something up , my trial was usually expired. I used such titles as DVD Shrink, Imageburn, 1 click copy and a few other free software titles to try and do the same thing. In the end none were ever updated like DVDFab, none ever had support like DVDFab, (If even a web site at all) and none worked as well either.

I finally ponied up the $$ for the "Life time gift" (Gotta love the translation ) and couln't be happier.

As stated, you can easily enough skip these on the disc. I don't work for DVDFab, I'm just a new user, learning the product myself. But not being rushed to make copies and not worring about expiration dates etc... is worth the price if you have a serious need to back stuff up. I should have bought this years ago.

                      Just my 2 cents worth.
